Approve Coastal Preserves Land Management Plan, First Edition
The recently completed Coastal Preserves Land Management Plan, First Edition, outlines management and recreational objectives, describes what has occurred, ongoing projects and future management plans, as well as directs the Department of Community Development to initiate rezoning of the Coastal Preserves to “Environmentally Critical” and change Future Land Use to reflect “Conservation Lands Wetlands” and “Conservation Lands Uplands” to portions of the preserves. Approval of Applications/agreements/CNIF Requests/Resolutions
- Approval of Manatee County’s request for $15,000.00 for continuing mitigation design and permitting tasks associated with the Bradenton Beach near-shore channel project. Funding is available with Manatee County’s CNIF.
- Approval of Lee County’s request for $1,000,000.00, to implement design and construction activities as needed for previously permitted and approved public navigation projects. Funding is available with Lee County’s CNIF.
- Approval of Sarasota County’s request for assistance from WCIND to explore a coordinated framework to implement an inlet monitoring plan for coastal projects in and around New Pass and Big Pass.
- Approval of Sarasota County’s request for $200,000.00 to dredge the 10th Street Boat Ramp Project. Funding is available with Sarasota County’s CNIF. Project was previously approved as S-241 that expired on September 30, 2016.
